We are pleased to announce that Treering yearbook software has been assessed by the Department of Education Western Australian under the Security and Privacy Risk Assessment and given an overall risk rating of YELLOW which is deemed a low risk.

The areas assessed and results provided include the following:
- Access and Authorisation: Green (Deemed minimal risk)
- Security Monitoring & Incident Management: Green
- Privacy: Green
- Supply Chain Risk Management: Yellow
- Data Security: Yellow

“Our department is committed to protecting the privacy and security of student information and is therefore conducting a risk assessment of school-based third-party services that hold identifying personal or sensitive information. This assessment will be used to inform a catalogue of approved services that schools can use,” said Catherine Connolly, Projects Officer at the Department of Education, WA.
“It is worth noting that the Department is working closely with other Australian education jurisdictions on a national education risk assessment project through the National Schools Interoperability Program (NSIP). The national work aims to provide a federal minimum standard for third party education services which will assist both vendors and education agencies across Australia.”
If Treering had not passed the required security requirements, the software would’ve been marked as “Not for use or not approved.” We are pleased that we are now listed on the catalogue of approved products for schools and look forward to helping schools create lasting memories with yearbooks accessible to all.

Now Australian schools can create fantastic yearbooks without the expense of outsourced designers!
